Healthcare Assistant – SEN School

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and caring Healthcare Assistant to work in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school. As a HCA, you will work closely with our experienced staff to provide high-quality care and support to children with complex medical needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special needs and be comfortable with PEG feeding.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one support to children with complex medical needs, including PEG feeding
• Assist with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Support children with eating and drinking, including PEG feeding
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and staff
• Maintain accurate records of care and support provided
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with special needs
• Experience with PEG feeding is essential
• Non-invasive ventilation
• Suctioning oral
• Enhanced DBS check required
